Hong Kong business hotels: match the work setup to your trip

Start with the work you need to do, then choose a guest room and location that support it. A desk for video calls, a coworking pass, a room for a client meeting and a larger event venue are different requirements. For named, operator-sourced properties, browse our Hong Kong business hotel options.

Match the hotel facility to the work

Coworking during the dayGuest access, day-pass options, opening hours, desk type and call privacyCheck whether access is included with your stay or needs a separate booking or fee. Confirm if a space can be reserved.

Training, presentation or larger eventTheatre/classroom/boardroom capacities, audiovisual support, catering and breakout spaceSend the attendee count and preferred layout to the event team and request a dated quotation.

Do not assume that a hotel with a meeting venue also provides a suitable desk or private-call setup in every guest room. Likewise, a coworking lounge is not necessarily a bookable meeting room. Check the exact facility you plan to use.

Plan the route around your meetings

Choose a location from the addresses on your itinerary, not a generic “business district” label. If meetings are in several areas, compare each candidate hotel against all of them. Check the walk to the station, the correct exit, transfers and the likely route at the time of your first appointment. The official MTR system map helps with the rail portion; check the complete door-to-door route separately.

For trips involving an airport arrival, client visits and an event venue, compare transfer count and luggage walks as well as train time. Ask the property about any shuttle or transfer only after matching it to your dates and arrival time.

Compare the full cost and booking terms

Use the same dates, guest count and room category across your shortlist. Add any workspace pass, meeting-room rental, equipment, catering or setup charge you expect to use. Compare the total after taxes and service charges, the deposit, prepayment, invoice requirements and the cancellation deadline. A room rate alone cannot tell you the cost of a work-ready stay.

Questions to send before you reserve

  1. Which exact room category has the desk and setup I need, and what internet access is included?
  2. Can hotel guests book the coworking area or meeting rooms, and are passes or equipment charged separately?
  3. What is the room capacity for my required seating layout, not just the venue’s maximum standing capacity?
  4. Which display, conferencing, microphone and technical support are available, and is setup included?
  5. What are the full charges, deposit, invoice terms and cancellation deadlines?
  6. What is the best route from the hotel to each meeting address at the time I need to travel?
